A Change in the Air

I am sure you've noticed a little nip in the air the past few mornings and evenings.

What a change!

Inspired by the cool, crisp air and the hints of color in the trees - we have begun to change the scents in the air of our studio.

Although I very much enjoyed our summer diffuser blends (a clean, bright variety of citrus essential oils downstairs and a floral lavender blend upstairs) I am thrilled to move into the warmer scents of autumn.

Downstairs I've been toying with Bergamot blends. Bergamot has a lovely scent -  still slightly citrusy - but warmer, and familiar to many as one of the main ingredients in Earl Grey tea.

Bergamot is a natural antiseptic and helps to keep the air clean and fresh. It is also known to reduce stress and fight depression - and who doesn't need some of both of those properties this time of year!

When diluted and applied to the skin Bergamot reduces oiliness, inflammation and irritation.

Upstairs in our yoga space, I've been trying mixes with Cedarwood.

Cedarwood's woodsy, warm aroma is used throughout the world as incense for its' ability to promote calm, comfort and relaxation.

Cedarwood is also used to balance emotions and promote restful sleep.

Ahh, the sights and scents of autumn surround us.

Let's breathe deeply and enjoy, shall we?
